Cruise Vessel Makes Maiden Call In Lamu Port, The First Time After 9 Years

The Kenya Ports Authority welcomed a cruise vessel, carrying 57 tourists who were treated to a warm reception at the KPA Lamu Jetty by Lamu Governor Issa Timamy and KPA General Manager Lamu, Vincent Sidai.

MV SH Diana cruise vessel has made its inaugural call at the Port of Lamu, marking an exciting moment for the country’s second commercial port, as it prepares for the upcoming festive season and hopes to welcome luxury yachts to the area.

This momentous occasion follows nine years since the vessel’s last visit to Lamu.

The arrival of these cruise vessels reflects Kenya’s growing prominence as a tourist destination, offering travelers unique and enriching experiences.
